The drama between Donald Trump and Robert De Niro just escalated to a whole new level, and the internet can’t stop talking. It all started when De Niro, the two-time Oscar-winning actor, got emotional on a podcast, urging Americans to resist Trump’s influence. That sparked a furious response from the former president on Truth Social, who didn’t hold back.
On ‘The Best People With Nicole Wallace’ podcast, De Niro choked up while speaking about what he sees as Trump’s threat to the country. “It’s sick, it’s messed up. We have to save the country,” he said, fighting back tears. The actor stressed that Americans must resist Trump’s movement actively warning that it’s not going to disappear on its own.

“People have to resist, resist, resist,” De Niro insisted, adding that even if Trump goes, parts of his movement would remain. His appeal quickly became the catalyst for Trump’s latest social media tirade.

In a fiery post, Donald labeled De Niro “another sick and demented person” with an “extremely low IQ.” He mocked the actor for breaking down in tears, comparing him to a child and even to Rosie O’Donnell, who is reportedly in Ireland.

“The only difference between De Niro and Rosie is that she is probably somewhat smarter than him, which isn’t saying much,” Trump wrote. He added that America is now “Bigger, Better, Richer, and Stronger than ever before,” claiming that this success is driving his critics insane.
Trump didn’t stop at De Niro. He dragged Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) into the mix, criticising their behaviour at the recent State of the Union. Both Congresswomen had walked out early and shouted during the address.
“When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib… they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, lunatics, mentally deranged and sick,” Trump wrote. He suggested that they, along with De Niro, should leave the country claiming they could only harm the United States.
De Niro’s message to Americans couldn’t be clearer. He believes Trump’s influence is dangerous and ongoing.
“Parts of that movement are still there, and that’s the scary part. It has to be neutralised by the people,” he said during the podcast.
This latest round shows that the feud between Trump and De Niro is far from over.
